Mitesh Ravishankar is the Managing Partner of MR Legal Solutions. He practises in civil, criminal and commercial matters before the Madras High Court and the courts and tribunals in Chennai, and alongside litigation advises businesses on contracts, commercial documentation and day-to-day legal questions. His approach begins with preparation: most cases are decided by the quality of the record and clarity of pleading rather than argument at hearing. He takes time to establish what a client actually needs, which is not always what is first asked for. He works alongside the team rather than above it, encourages younger advocates to take responsibility early, and follows developments in legal technology, having introduced matter management, document handling and deadline tracking into the firm’s practice. He is clear about its limits: judgement, accountability and understanding the client remain the work of the advocate.

Keerthana Ravishankar is a Senior Partner at MR Legal Solutions with 10+ years of litigation experience, over ten years focused on business and commercial law. She holds an undergraduate law degree from Saveetha School of Law and a postgraduate LL.M. degree in Business Law from Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Chennai. Her practice centres on corporate and commercial disputes before the Madras High Court and the civil and commercial courts in Chennai. She is often involved at the drafting and negotiation stage of agreements she may later have to argue about, and that experience shapes how she reads a contract. Her academic training shows in her preparation: she works outward from the authorities and pays close attention to how a legal principle is likely to be received by a court on particular facts. She maintains an active interest in business law and corporate law, writes and teaches in these areas, and much of her work involves reducing a complicated legal position to something a client can act on.

G. Mithun Prakash is an Affiliated Partner at MR Legal Solutions. He practises in consumer law, commercial litigation, copyright litigation, rent control and tenancy matters, and motor accident (MACT) claims, appearing before the Consumer Commissions, Rent Control Forums, Motor Accidents Claims Tribunals, City Civil Court and the Madras High Court. He acts for complainants and for businesses defending complaints, for landlords and for tenants, and for claimants in accident matters; having worked both sides of these forums, he has a practical sense of how each assesses a case. He begins a matter by settling what the client is trying to achieve: in consumer and accident claims that is usually a defined sum within a reasonable period, and in tenancy and commercial matters it is possession, payment or a workable exit. Choice of forum and strategy follow from that.

A.C. Shivani Kalingarayar is an Associate at MR Legal Solutions with over 3 years of Trial Court experience, principally in matrimonial matters. Her work covers dissolution of marriage, maintenance, custody and guardianship proceedings before the Family Courts in Chennai, and she handles preparation from start to finish: legal research, drafting of pleadings and applications, review and vetting of documents, and assistance in conduct of hearings. Legal research and case analysis are a particular interest: she works through statutory provisions and precedent to identify applicable principles, and reads the other side’s papers closely, looking for inconsistencies between pleadings and documents, gaps in assertions, and issues left unaddressed. She has extended her practice into civil and commercial litigation, developing work in corporate and commercial law, has drafted applications under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, has acted in matters under the Companies Act, 2013, and appears before the NCLT Chennai Bench.

M.K. Mrudula is an Associate at MR Legal Solutions, practising before the Madras High Court and the subordinate courts in Chennai. She brings over three years of experience in civil litigation and writ proceedings, legal drafting, contractual documentation and client counselling, supported by more than seven years of work in legal research, writing and mentoring. She served as Research Associate to Justice P.N. Prakash (Retd.), and is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Lexcellence, the e-journal of the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. She has written on constitutional law, intellectual property, environmental law and allied subjects, has contributed to book publications, and has mentored law students in mooting and legal writing over several years. She holds the view that careful research and writing make advocacy reliable.
